Modus Murdeus is a web game set in a fictional detective agency. Players, in the role
of a detective, investigate various crime cases, gather clues, interrogate suspects, and solve
cases. Murder, disappearances, or theft... To solve cases, players sometimes race against time
and sometimes against each other. In this race, the game forces players to balance limited budgets and the Chief's trust, offering a realistic experience. Sometimes,
compromised evidence or bureaucratic obstacles force the player to use different strategies.
The game has several modes.
Against Time
In this mode, the case is hot, and the evidence is still under investigation. Players, with a limited
budget and time, try to solve the case on time by choosing which evidence to examine and interrogating
suspects. Even if the right evidence is found, a good lawyer can help the culprit escape punishment.
Therefore, the real culprit may need to be cornered through cross-examination. During the trial process,
the player's budget is provided by the chief. If the player fails to gain the cheif's trust, they
can have limited space and may be removed from the case.
Closed Cases
In this mode, trust is everything, time is unlimited, but accessing new evidence is difficult. The player must
first find a clue that will convince the cheif. This time, the evidence has already been analyzed and interrogation
records are already available. But this may not be enough. Therefore, the player must build credibility. Because the only
legal basis for accessing and interrogating suspects is now a prosecutor's warrant.
Competitive
In this mode, players compete both against time and each other. Everyone examines the same evidence simultaneously, but cannot
interrogate the same suspects. If the cheif trusts someone too much, they allow others to read the interrogation records.
Players can increase their budgets by selling evidence, clues, or interrogations to other players through auctions to gain access
to certain evidence or opportunities like additional interrogations.
